Our Wholesale department operates an innovative marketing program that includes regional variety test plantings, fruit tasting seminars, presentations about Home Orchard Culture, and the development of sales aids & point-of-sale tools for retailers.

Fruit Tastings are a Dave Wilson Nursery marketing innovation. In cooperation with garden centers, Dave Wilson Nursery conducts blind fruit-tasting seminars at various locations throughout the West. A report of the fruit tasters detailed evaluations is published each year along with a periodic summary compilation of several years' reports. These authoritative reports provide an incomparable sales aid to nurseries and the home orchardist to help in the selection of the best-tasting fruit varieties.

Dave Wilson Nursery's Home Garden Wholesale Department conducts numerous seminars each year that bring new information to industry professionals and home gardeners alike. Seminar topics include product knowledge, new variety selection and our always-in-demand Backyard Orchard Culture (BYOC) program. BYOC emphasizes a non-technical, everyone-can-do-it approach to fruit growing in small spaces. Due to their popularity, our seminars are always booked well in advance.
