Very large fruit is the hallmark of the Lapins cherry. Lapins cherries are firm and crack-resistant with a mahogany-red skin and lighter red flesh. Self-fruitful, Lapins ripens 10-14 days after Bing in the Northwest and 5-7 days after Bing in the Central Valley of California. Lapins is crack-resistant, similar to Van in color and resembles Stella in shape.
