Crimson Gala (Waliser cv.)

Maturity Date:August 20 to September 5
Sold Out Of State:Available Upon Request
Container Type:Bare Root

The Crimson Gala apple is an intense-coloring strain of Gala. It exhibits similar size and flavor when compared to its parent, Tenroy Gala, but matures a few days later in late July to early August. Compared to other Gala strains, Crimson begins coloring earlier, developing a bright, cherry red color early in the season. It has a prominently striped skin and satiny pale blond flesh. The tree is a very precocious annual bearer with a spreading growth habit and strong wide-angle crotches. A pollenizer is recommended for maximum productivity. (U.S. Plant Patent No. 8673)
