This 2018 introduction sets a new mark for fruit size among the Zaiger white-flesh “saucer” peaches. Its large, peento-type (“flat”) fruit has an attractive red blush and very good eating quality with an especially pleasing sweet, mild, subacid flavor. Sauzee Giant has consistently set a full crop: eight consecutive years at Modesto, CA. In trials, this variety shipped well after storing for three weeks. Harvest begins about August 1st.
