In fruit evaluations at Dave Wilson Nursery, Sweet Shasta scored highest in color among all our yellow-fleshed freestone peach selections. Sweet Shasta is a firm peach that matures in late June and early July. This selection features low-acid flavor, very large size (2-7/8" to 3-1/4") and good skin color (80-90% red over yellow).
