The Gypzee Pluot® interspecific plum offers the exotic appearance of a heart-shaped maroon-to-purple fruit and sweet, pale flesh (average ºBrix of 17). This clingstone selection ripens in the last two weeks of July and is more resistant to heat damage than other commercial varieties. The Gypzee Pluot® requires a pollenizer and has a winter chilling requirement of approximately 900 hours. (U.S. Plant Patent No. 19834)
